What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Full Gospel Revival Center based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

Holy Scripture

We believe the Bible to be the inspired (God-breathed) Word of God, and accept the same as the only infallible guide and rule of our faith and practice. God's Word is eternally true and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.

The Godhead

We believe in the eternal, infinite, transcendent, immanent, sovereign, God. We believe in the trinity of the Godhead–that there are three persons equal in every divine perfection and attribute, executing distinct, but harmonious offices, in the great work of redemption.

The Plan of Redemption

We believe that Christ was the perfect Lamb of God, foreordained from the foundation of the world, and by the shedding of His blood, on the cross, made provision for salvation for ALL men.

The New Birth

We believe that because of mankind's total inability to save himself, salvation is by God's grace alone. It is received through sincere godly repentance, and whole-hearted acceptance of Jesus Christ as one's personal Savior; through being born again, or spiritually reborn, one becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a definite experience, not identical with conversion. The initial evidence of this experience is the speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit enables us.

Divine Healing

We believe that divine healing–the power of God to heal the sick and afflicted–is done in answer to a believer's prayer, and is provided for in the atonement of Jesus Christ's sacrifice. We believe that God is willing to, and does, heal the sick today.

Second Coming of Christ

We believe that the Rapture, or the second coming of Christ is personal, imminent, and occurs before the Great Tribulation.

Life's Purposes

We find purpose and meaning in life when we come to the understanding that we are made by God and for God.

Five purposes of life:

Real Fellowship in God's Family

God made each of us to have a relationship with Him and become a part of his family. The Christian life is not a solo act. We are meant to live in relationship with each other. This is accomplished in fellowship. 1 Peter 1:3 (LB) says, "(He) has given us the privilege of being born again, so that we are now members of God's own family." God has given us a spiritual family for our benefit. Ephesians 2:19 (LB) says, "You are members of God's very own family...and you belong in God's household with every other Christian."

Real Discipleship as We Become Like Christ

God's desire is for us to be a model of His character. As we follow Christ in discipleship we grow up to become spiritually mature and take on His character. Jesus has established a pattern for us to follow. "To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps." (1 Peter 2:21) Paul teaches us the areas in which we are to model the character of Christ. "Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."

Real Ministry in Serving God

God has determined that we are to be ministers of His grace. Jesus came not to be served, but to serve and lay His life down for all. We serve by using our gifts, talents, and opportunities to benefit others. 1 Peter 4:10 says, "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." We express our service in a ministry to the church, community or foreign fields. God made us for this purpose. Ephesians 2:10 (LB) says, "It is God Himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others."

Real Evangelism in Missions

God wants us to be a messenger of His love. Evangelism is telling the Good News that Jesus lived, died, and rose from the grave to forgive everyone who will place their trust in Him. It is an important responsibility of every Christian. We are ambassadors for Christ. Our mission is the same as Apostle Paul's. "Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus–the work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love."

Real Worship for God's Pleasure

God has made each of us to be a magnifier of His name. We magnify the Lord through our worship. There is a deep down desire of every person to worship. Many find something else to worship such as a job, family, money, a sport, or even ourselves. But fulfillment only comes from worshiping God. "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."
